Hermes Fall 2014 RTW

One of the last shows shown in Paris was this ultra fabulous, ultra oversized, and ultra menswear inspired collection by Hermes. I can see it, it's Katherine Hepburn meets Diane Keaton, meets today's chic modern women. I can only imagine that this is what the cool girls wear. The oversized pant with menswear inspired written all over it. And may I add, the personal touch of the pocket square is definitely what I would say "on point!". 

The unspoken hidden sexy with an oversized coat and nothing underneath? Or perhaps a lace number from La Perla, who knows. It's a complete and utter surprise and now THAT is what you call sexy! 

Simplicity at it's best.

STRUCTURE

It's all about the structured bag. It embodies confidence, simplicity and formality. There's something that a structure bag has that tickles me, maybe it's the way that it can transform a look that a slouchy bag can't do. Maybe it's the geometric lines and construction that allows the bag to hold it's own, or maybe it's the simplistic quality that I always gravitate towards. Whatever it may be, it's one of my absolute favorite type of bags.

THE CHIC CARLOTTA ODDI

Everyone knows by now that Carlotta Oddi is not only Anna Dello Russo's assistants, but she's unbelievably chic. The young Italian gal is by far one of my fashion inspirations. With her boss being extremely eccentric with everything she wears, it's a shock that Oddi stays true to her own personal style. Her style stamp has definitely been recognized in the industry.

It has to do with the way she puts everything together, the end result is a product that looks unique and not picked out from a catalog. Now, THAT is what you call "personal style" and Oddi is a great example of making pieces morph into your outfit and closet to make it your own.
