MINIMAL & SIMPLE

Unexpected climate changes has been the theme for the past few months. One day I'm rocking my summer clothes and the next I'm bundled up in my winter attire. When the climate happens to be hot and summery, it's only approriate to show some skin. This calls for crop tops and knee length skirts, it's only natural! Minimal and simple!

I'm wearing:
Ralph Lauren crop top
Alberto Makali skirt (similar)
Zara sandals (similar)
Fendi sunglasses
Chanel bag
Citizen Eco-Drive watch

SPRING 2014 RTW TRENDS | CROP

From left: Organic by John Patrick | Philipp Plein | Ports 1961 | Tanya Taylor | Peter Som | Alberta Ferretti | Jil Sander

One of the most crazed and favored trends is the crop top trend and I'm sure many of us are thrilled to see the 90s crop continue for Spring 2014. The trend came down the runway at countless shows and each crop top was paired with many different bottoms. Full skirts, a-line skirts to wide leg pants, it's a great way to mix up your style. Not only for next spring, but for this fall/winter as well!

Dare to bare!

TREND | CLASHING STRIPES

Stripes, stripes, and more stripes! One of the recent trends done in a different way...clashing! The stripes are put together with different textures and colors to make the look not only different but fun. In a way it goes together without it being too loud or over-the-top. It has all the great quintessential qualities to make this a perfect summer outfit; crop top, sunnies, sandals, statement necklace & bag, and of course the thing that brought it together, the stripes! It's still scorching out, so have fun with it and wear your stripes. Clashing stripes that is.

The color combination goes so well together & this to me is a perfect day outfit with the coat and easily transformed to night with the a leather biker jacket and Saint Laurent clutch. (Tadaaa...) DIANE KRUGER EMBEZZLED CROP

Ph: Bazaar
Diane Kruger in NYC

How fabulous is Diane's look? Day style that is styled to perfection.
Kruger wearing a Chloe embezzled crop top, Chanel Diamante jelly sandals, Current/Elliot skinny jeans, and a Balmain Pierre suede bag (here carried by Miranda Kerr).

Dare to bare for summer? I say yes!
It's extremely hot lately and the last thing anyone would dream of is to be covered up. The only appropriate thing to do is to show off that midriff you've been hiding this past winter. I mean it's only just one of the recent trends of Resort 2014. Even Calvin Klein and Barbra Bui (to name a few) are encouraging it with their "dare to bare" number in their collection.
So I say, why not?
